Identify dimensional processes that cross diagnostic boundaries without collapsing distinct disorders into one pathology.

Perturbation

Treat an intervention or standardized task as an input that reveals how the system responds.

State identification

Measure whether a reproducible configuration exists beyond test retest variability and ordinary longitudinal drift.

Regulatory validation

Test response amplitude, gain, latency, propagation, recovery, residual error, habituation, and variability.

Functional classification

Determine whether the resulting trajectory is adaptive, neutral, maladaptive, or indeterminate using independent outcomes.

Translation

Use validated measures to inform timing, protocol design, preparation, and post acute support without assuming benefit in advance.
