Stripe collects and processes payment information on its own secure pages. This website does not collect or store card numbers, security codes, or banking credentials.
Contribution records
The site privately records your name, email address, optional message, contribution type, amount, date, update preference, and Stripe references needed to reconcile payments. These records support administration and payment inquiries. They are not displayed publicly or used to give contributors research influence.
Uncompleted checkout details are removed after seven days when the next checkout starts. Completed financial records are retained for accounting and administrative purposes. For a question about your information or a deletion request, use the contact page. Necessary financial records may need to be retained.
Optional updates
The updates checkbox is unchecked by default. Contributing does not subscribe you. If you select updates and complete a contribution, your request is added to the existing email confirmation process. You can unsubscribe using the link in an update email.
Basic usage information
The site counts support page views, selected amounts and frequency, checkout starts, and confirmed payments. Those aggregate counts contain no names, email addresses, messages, card information, or visitor profiles. Short lived hashed network identifiers limit abuse. A secure browser cookie lets you view your own payment confirmation for up to seven days.
Recurring support
Monthly contributions continue until canceled. Once recurring support is available, the support page and confirmation page link to Stripe’s secure customer portal to manage payments or cancel.
